Reviews, Promotions, and Buzz
- Justin Robinson does it up on the Fanboy Scoop podcast this week. Complete with skit for your entertainment!
- Blue Diamond Delivery is getting all sorts of attention out in the wild! There’s a huge blog tour going on – keep up with the event page for links and updates!
- Among those neat features is this eBook giveaway, where you get to ask Anne a question about the book!
Sundries
- Help out a graduate student who’s looking into small press – how it works, how people find books, and all sorts of other interesting things. The survey about your “book habits online” only takes a few minutes!
- More and more people are cottoning on to the idea that DRM doesn’t really stop pirates, and that it just frustrates legitimate consumers – and isn’t really fair to them, either. Image is the latest to jump on the bandwagon, and Ars Technica has a good essay on why DRM-free is your friend.
- M Fenn (“So the Taino Call It, Substitution Cipher) is working on a novel…and kinda included a character she loves but didn’t tell his story. Getting caught up in your own worldbuilding is tough!
- A LEGO bookstore! Powell’s, no less! Neat!
- Type in colour! Perfect for the synaesthete in your life.
- This manga adaptation of a Japanese novella looks gorgeous.
- Here. Have some capybaras. Why? Because capybaras.
- Also, welcome to the Goat Rodeo. Strictly goats, please.
- Yes, Mastermind Kate is stressed out from the move and launches and everything else and coping by looking at pictures of fuzzy critters. We all have our coping mechanisms. Don’t judge.
