By now, most of you have probably heard about the Heartbleed bug or zero-day vulnerability.
If you’re wondering what all the fuss is about, check out this great Q&A with Fast Company, which answers the most pressing questions about the bug and how it affects you.
Candlemark & Gleam’s website has tested safe – our SSL certificate doesn’t carry the exploit. Your data is never 100% safe – not online, and not in person – and we’re not web security experts, so we rely on third parties and our own best practices to keep your data as safe as possible. In this case, your passwords etc. aren’t getting siphoned off.
Other websites may not test safe, and you may want to consider changing your passwords on many SSL-encrypted websites. Practice good data hygiene! Change your passwords often and use good, strong passwords.
Until the Singularity, when all of us are our own passwords, it’s the best we can do. If humans make it, humans can exploit it.
Be safe out there!
